How To Earn and Claim Credit
At the end of each course, participants will be able to complete an online exam.
AIA CES LU/HSW
A passing grade of 80+% qualifies the participant to earn LU/HSW hours from AIA CES. If you are an AIA member and provided your AIA number upon registration, AIA will be automatically notified by email of you attending the course. AIA members and all other individuals passing the exam may download a Certificate of Completion from the Courses page of Education Express.
NCQLP LC LEU
A passing grade of 70+% qualifies the participant to earn LEUs toward maintenance of the NCQLP’s LC certification. Participants passing the exam may download a Certificate of Completion from the Courses page of Education Express. The LEUs must be self reported to NCQLP.
The following courses must be completed:
EE101: Introduction to Lighting Control (Part 1 only)
EE102: Switching Control (Section 1 only)
EE103: Dimming Control
EE201: Daylight Harvesting
Certificates of Completion for these courses, totaling 120 CALCTP points, are earned by taking the course and passing the associated online exams with a 70+% passing grade. These certificates must be collected and presented to CALCTP as proof of attendance.
Certified Lighting Controls Professional (CLCP) candidates must complete a test administered by NALMCO, which is based on the Education Express curriculum. The candidate must maintain documentation indicating all courses were completed or that he or she has industry knowledge/experience in lieu of completing a given course. A 70+% passing grade for each learning module earns an education certificate demonstrating CEU credit.
